Do you have a heart for serving the hungry, alleviating hunger, and nourishing souls? St. Francis provides on-going and/or intermittent opportunities to serve those in need, either in a coordinated effort or on your own.

Since 2006, Common Heart has been a grassroots movement of friends creating a small revolution of kindness in our community to eradicate food insecurity and eliminate generational poverty.

Every first Sunday of the month, St. Francis collects non-perishable food for donation to Common Heart. Bring your donations to worship that morning as an act of worship and service.

Donation suggestions include:

  • Canned vegetables and fruits

  • Pasta and rice

  • Canned proteins (tuna, chicken, beans)

  • Peanut butter and jelly

  • Breakfast items (oatmeal, cereal)

  • Macaroni and cheese

  • Canned pasta like ravioli or spaghetti
