Youth Ministry

Faith. Fellowship. Service.

Our Youth Ministry is here to give middle and high school students the tools, knowledge, and community they need to tackle the ups and downs of adolescence with faith and confidence.

Our staff and helpers are committed to walking alongside your child during this crazy, exciting, and life-changing season.

Our top priority is helping your teens live out their faith in real life.

St. Francis Youth Program

Hang Time

Sundays 9:30-10:00am in the Youth Hut

Together we focus on growing spiritually through engaging Bible Studies that encourage us to dig into scripture and discuss how it applies to everyday life.  In a relaxed setting, we talk about friendships, dealing with difficult situations, seeking God’s plan, becoming servant leaders, and reflecting Jesus’ love for others, with examples from music, sports, current events, and teenagers God has used to do amazing things.

Youth Group

Wednesdays 6:00-7:00pm in the Youth Hut

Looking for a place for your teens to grow their faith, make new friends, and have some fun? Each Wednesday, we’ll gather for dinner and weekly Bible Study! Whether they’re new to the Bible or have been around church for a while, this is the perfect space to dive deeper into God’s Word, ask real questions, and find answers together.

Monthly Outings

Once a month, we’ve got group outings, games, and service projects lined up for our teens!  We’ll be doing meaningful service projects that help them grow as compassionate followers of Christ and make a real impact in the community. Plus, we’ll enjoy fun events and games to build strong friendships along the way.

NEXT OUTING: Sun, May 4 - Churchwide Family Fun Day and Kickball Game

Annual Retreat

Youth retreats are a game-changer for helping teens grow in their faith, build strong friendships, and gain the confidence they need to navigate life with purpose. It's a chance for your child to break away from the everyday hustle and focus on their relationship with God. Plus, these retreats foster a sense of belonging—crucial during those tricky adolescent years when identity and self-worth can be a struggle. Our youth often come back fired up in their faith and more connected to God, making them more likely to stay involved and keep growing spiritually.

Summer Mission Trip

Mission trips are a fantastic way for teens to jump into hands-on service projects and make a real impact in communities that need help, all while putting their faith into action. Our students will get to explore new cultures and ways of life, which opens up their world and builds empathy and understanding. Most importantly, they’ll experience the joy of making a real difference by serving others.

St. Francis Youth Values:

  • Respect - In our speech and action, we respect those who are a part of our ministry and those we are serving. Respect covers a multitude of issues.

  • Community and Friendship - Everyone wants a place where they belong. A safe and warm home allows students to be themselves and grow not only closer with friends, but to God.

  • Safe & Loving Environment - SFUMC Youth is a safe place for students to explore who they are and what their faith means in their lives. Our ministry is shaped by our Safe Sanctuary policy and all adult ministry leaders who have completed background checks to serve.

  • Purpose and Self-Worth - We affirm a strong sense of self-worth based only on the work of Christ on the cross.

  • Teaching and Learning - Scripture is vital for our development as believers. We make it a priority to unpack the lessons, wisdom, and hope of the Bible.
