Music Ministries
At St. Francis United Methodist Church, we love to make a joyful noise. We also believe in intergenerational worship. One way we live that out is through our music ministry. We have opportunities for people of all ages and music backgrounds. No auditions are required, if you love to make a joyful noise and participate in music during worship, join our music ministry today!
Chancel Choir
Rehearsal: Wednesdays from 6-7:30 pm; Sundays from 9:30-9:55 am
The Chancel Choir is comprised of adult and youth singers who gather weekly to share the love of Christ through song. The choir sings an anthem every week during our service and prepares two cantatas each year. Everyone is welcome; no auditions required. Contact Emma Conder for more details!
The Praise Band
Rehearsal: Wednesdays from 7:30-9:00 pm; Sundays from 8:30-9:15 am
Our Praise Band is the core of intergenerational music at St. Francis with a wide array of ages and musical backgrounds. The band leads worship every week with a variety of musical styles. With a focus on contemporary music, while also putting a modern twist on traditional hymns, our Praise Band's diversity provides energy to our service. We have open rehearsals every week; contact Aaron Cobb for more details.
Children’s Choir
Rehearsal: Sundays from 11:15 am-12:30 pm
The Children's Choir rehearses most weeks throughout the school year, breaking for Lunch Bunch after church. We sing in worship every 6 weeks and work closely with our praise band and Chancel Choir. During rehearsals we build a community based on safety and trust, while working on basic music concepts and rhythm, and learning Bible stories through song. Children 4 years old - 5th grade are welcome! Contact Emma Conder for more details!
